If you experience these effects at idle, then you've probably got a control problem. Now, when you pull back the throttle for approach and landing, you shouldn't need this anymore. While my early tendency (thanks to simming) was to try to correct with ailerons, rudder is what is needed. While you're climbing, if you don't keep the right rudder pedal down, you're going to drift. (He says the most often spoken words by a CFI are "More right rudder.")Įven after you take off, you need a fair amount of rudder until your pretty near cruising speed. I think I'm pushing it pretty far down, and he's saying, "Right rudder, right rudder, right rudder" the whole time. I can tell you that during my lessons (primarily in Piper Cherokees), my instructor never feels I have enough right rudder in. What you are experiencing is extreme realism! The combination of prop wash spiraling to the back of the plane and hitting the vertical stabilizer, asymmetric thrust from the prop due to high angle of attack, and a certain about of gyroscopic precession from the propeller all combine to make the the plane want to wander off to the left at low speeds.
I finally started taking flying lessons last year after simming for a very long time.

Hopefully you get my point.I dont see MSFS overtaking XP or P3D with serious simmers anytime soon. I am running XP 11.5 and P3D v5 on med/high settings with hardly ever a serious stutter issue.

I dont see this changing without investing in a $5,000 pc and even then it might not solve the issues. It is a game with some potential, but its not a serious flight sim and it doesn't look as good as XP or P3D to me. The performance is atrocious with constant stutters, lags and freeze ups no matter what settings I use. From the purchase and downloading experience to the performance of MSFS. This is just my opinion at this point in time of MSFS development, but for me it has been a disaster since day one. dont forget about or stop XP or P3D projects. I wanted to take this opportunity to say to you and other developers that I understand why you are now focused heavily on MSFS and the market it represents for you, but please!. I already own the 211 for XP, but thank you for this gesture to the community and for your good work.
